Carlos Iglesias
CEO + Co-Founder
As one of our co-founders, Carlos began his career by working hands on in the field. By the age of 20, with the help of his college degree, he had shown extreme leadership and was able to advance to crew leader and to manage large scale jobs. Today, he continues to enjoy the challenges and rewards of hands-on, onsite work while leading his teams. Carlos is a specialist in cladding installations and divides his time between project management responsibilities and field operations, while maintaining a close family oriented relationship with his team. This close connection between the office and the field enables ABS to perform at a high level in today’s demanding construction industry
Israel Lucatero
CCO / Senior Superintendent
Israel Lucatero brings extensive hands-on experience in framing, siding, and exterior envelope systems, advancing from crew lead to superintendent through years in the field. He leads and coordinates crews across multiple projects, enabling ABS to efficiently deploy labor and meet demanding schedules.
Joel Bueno
Chief Financial Officer
Joel Bueno is a licensed attorney with a diverse background in finance, law, and operations. Before joining Advantage Building Solutions, he worked on federal and private litigation tied to the 2008 Financial Crisis, shaping his practical approach to financial management and risk. At ABS, Joel helps guide the company through significant growth, building systems and strategies that supported a three-fold increase in revenue and long-term financial stability.
Scott King
Co-Founder (Retired)
As co-founder of Advantage Building Solutions, Scott brought more than 40 years of construction experience to the company. Beginning his career as a carpenter and framer, Scott advanced to superintendent and project manager, overseeing more than 150 tract-home developments. After obtaining his CSLB license in 1986, he operated his own companies. In 2012, after partnering with Carlos Iglesias, he helped establish ABS and guide its growth. Scott is now retired.
Luis Romero
Senior Project Manager
Luis Romero began his construction career as a general laborer, quickly developing a strong interest in project management and field coordination. While completing the Construction Management program at Sacramento State, he joined Advantage Building Solutions, where he immediately stood out for his attention to detail and reliable execution. Today, Luis leads ABS’s project management team, overseeing complex schedules, client coordination, and the consistent delivery of high-quality projects.
Brayden Rodrigue
Lead Estimator
Brayden Rodrigue grew up remodeling homes alongside his father, developing a lifelong passion for construction. After earning his degree in Construction Management from Chico State, he joined Advantage Building Solutions as an intern and quickly advanced to lead the estimating department. Brayden has been instrumental in expanding ABS’s pre-construction capabilities and growing the company’s bid backlog to more than $100 million, combining technical precision with a practical understanding of how projects are built.
Mike Mendez
Safety Coordinator
Mike Mendez leads ABS’s safety program across California and Nevada, ensuring full compliance with Cal/OSHA and Nevada OSHA requirements. He manages core safety systems—including IIPP, Fall Protection, Silica Control, PPE, and Hot Work—and conducts routine job-site audits, training, and tailgate meetings. Mike collaborates closely with project teams to eliminate hazards, improve performance, and strengthen ABS’s safety-driven culture. He also supports business development by maintaining strong relationships with general contractors and industry partners.
Linda Fraga
HR/Payroll Manager
Linda is our HR & Payroll Manager, responsible for all aspects of human resources, payroll, and prevailing wage compliance for public works projects. With extensive knowledge of DIR and Davis-Bacon regulations, certified payroll reporting, and apprenticeship requirements, she ensures accurate payroll processing, efficient benefits administration, and full compliance with state and federal standards.
